BC Project congratulates Linda Chung, the Liberal Democrat candidate for winning the borough councillor for Hampstead by-election.

She is a fine role model for the younger generation, who wants to get involved in British politics. She now joins a growing list of Chinese councillors who serve this country (in no particular order):

David Parker of the University of Nottingham and Miri Song of the University of Kent recently published a research report on "British Chinese Online Identities: Politics, Participation and the Internet".

We need two or three part-time volunteers who are:

1. Have a creative flare and good knowledge in webpage designs.
2. Uber organised to support the executives as a PA to manage the database and schedules behind the scene.

So if you are interested in either of the two roles mentioned above, we would like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate should be:

- Friendly and happy to work within a team as well as using your own initiatives when necessary.
- Want to add value to a charity group as voluntary work.

Our aim is to help all you potential councillors and MPs to represent your voters in your chosen area.

We are delighted to support Dr Teck Khong, an eminent medical professional and long-standing active member of the Conservative Party, in his quest to become a Tory candidate.

Dr Khong has shown that he is not only committed to his patients but, like us, also cares about the country that he has adopted as home. 

Being Chinese and humbled with the position of representing potentially not just a constituency, but also a large portion of the British Chinese community, it would be an honour for us all to have Dr Khong elected as the first MP of Chinese ethnicity.

With his migrant background, multi-cultural experiences and his professional positions that he holds in the modern British society, Dr Khong offers diversity and professionalism which we feel would appeal to voters of all backgrounds.
